From July this year the annual Tall Ships festival will set sail from France and dock half-way at Aberdeen, from 19^th to 21^st July. Bringing with it over 400,000 visitors, concerts and celebrations. What’s more? LIMITED EDITION RELEASE

Introducing our exclusive Tall Ships release - Glen Garioch 2013 Bourbon Cask 2403. Full of fruitiness and vanilla sweetness, it’s been bottled at 50.7% ABV and is available to buy at the Tall Ships Aberdeen festival and our Visitor Centre. Full tasting notes below…

Nose: Fresh and vibrant with Spring Barley and green fruits. Intensely fruity with notes of lemon, lime and summer fruits like gooseberries, kiwi and white currant with a gentle hint of oaky spice.

Palate: Mouthwatering and fruity. Opens up into a creamy butteriness and vanilla sweetness. There’s a Sourdough note with citrus fruits, opening into lime cordial and hints of white grape.

Finish: beautifully oily with a pronounced fruitiness that lingers on the palate, rounded off with a gentle ginger or nutmeg spice.
